Butterfly releases for Miami weddings
A butterfly release for a Miami destination wedding starts with a few decisions you can make before you travel. Who can receive the order locally? Has the venue approved the release? Will the ceremony leave time for an outdoor daylight moment? We offer Painted Lady wedding packages at Clearwater Butterfly in Chuluota, Florida. Contact us with your Miami delivery ZIP code and wedding date to check availability and shipping arrangements before you settle the release into your schedule.
Plan from home with one contact in Miami
If you are organizing the wedding remotely, choose one local person to handle receipt and pass on questions. That might be your planner, a relative or a venue contact who has explicitly agreed to the task. Give that person the same order details you have, including the package and event date.
A hotel reservation is not a receiving plan. Ask whether the property will accept a live-butterfly shipment, who will take responsibility when it arrives and how that person will contact your coordinator. If your check-in is later than the proposed delivery, resolve that gap before using the hotel address.
Keep the billing address, receiving address and ceremony location clearly labeled in your planning notes. They may all be different. Share the proposed receiving address with us so we can check the order against the destination and date rather than relying on the city name alone.
Get permission for the actual ceremony space
Ask the venue about a live-butterfly release in the exact space you intend to use. Permission for an outdoor ceremony does not automatically cover a release. If your wedding includes a beach ceremony and a hotel reception, ask who manages the ceremony site instead of assuming the reception coordinator can approve both.
Tell your planner which part of the wedding you want the release to accompany. A couple-led moment after the vows needs a different arrangement from an activity involving guests seated across several rows. Your coordinator can then check access to the release spot and include the instructions in the ceremony schedule.
Do this before printing programs. It is much easier to change a proposed activity than to explain a last-minute change to every guest.
Pick a package your coordinator can manage
Our wedding package with 50 individual envelopes includes Painted Lady butterflies, envelope color choices and personalized inscription options. Choose it when you want selected guests to participate, and assign someone to distribute the envelopes and explain the cue. Send the inscription exactly as you want it written so the couple and planner are working from one version.
If you prefer the couple to lead, our 50-butterfly release-box package puts the butterflies in one release box. This avoids distributing individual envelopes through the guest seating. Discuss the opening position with your photographer, but leave room in the plan for live butterflies to behave naturally.
You can compare other quantities in our wedding release collection. Choose the format first, then the quantity. Before increasing the quantity, check that your coordinator has time to distribute the envelopes or prepare the box release.
Agree on a weather decision before you fly
Use the National Weather Service Miami–South Florida forecast office for local forecasts and alerts. Its resources include hourly forecasts and tropical weather information. Have your local contact check conditions near the event rather than relying on the weather where you are traveling from.
Ask us about weather concerns and the care instructions for your order before the ceremony. Decide with the venue who will communicate a change to guests and the officiant. If the wedding moves inside, do not carry the release into the ballroom; arrange the butterfly contingency with us separately from the venue’s reception backup plan.
Send us your Miami wedding details
Contact us with the event date, delivery ZIP code, proposed recipient and package preference. Include the ceremony time if it is already set. We can discuss the order details while you and your planner confirm the venue arrangements.
Miami destination wedding FAQs
Can I arrange the order before arriving in Miami?
You can discuss the order with us before you travel. Have a local receiving plan ready, and confirm availability and shipping for your date and ZIP code before placing the order.
Can we use our hotel as the delivery address?
Ask the hotel first. You need a named person who agrees to receive the live-butterfly shipment and contact your coordinator. Confirm that proposed address and delivery arrangement with us.
Is a box better than individual envelopes for a destination wedding?
A box suits a couple-led release with fewer items to distribute. Individual envelopes suit guest participation but need someone to organize the handout. Choose based on your coordinator’s plan, not travel distance alone.
Does good weather mean the venue will allow the release?
No. Venue permission and suitable conditions are separate checks. Confirm the specific release location with the venue, then discuss weather and handling questions with us for your order.
